Ilanga is supported by a management team and subject-matter specialists with experience spanning education, training, business administration, client services, investments, risk management and human resources.

Managing Director Gibson Maunga brings more than 28 years of professional experience across private and public-sector environments in Southern Africa. His career has included teaching, lecturing, investment and risk management, human resources, client services and senior business leadership.

He holds a Business Management degree and an MBA, and has worked as a registered assessor and moderator across a range of sector education and training authorities. This combination of academic, training and commercial experience informs the academy’s emphasis on professional relevance.
